This Statement of Acknowledgement is offered with profound gratitude.

 

I begin by honoring the ancestors and the Indigenous peoples of this land. I pay deep homage to the strength of my African ancestors who built this country and their descendants who fought through unimaginable circumstances toward paths that their feet never tread upon.

The importance of their legacy alive is the foundation for this work.

 

This research, "Memory Matters: The Impact of Visual Learning and Memory Within Contemporary Black Greek-letter Organizations," would not be possible without the visionary founders of Black Greek-letter Organizations and the guiding spirits of my parents, Rev. and Mrs. Clem & Donna Norman, who instilled the importance of education in their 3 children.
